Introduction
The non-magnetic drill collar is made of low carbon high chromium manganese alloy steel. It is refined by strict chemical composition, and its mechanical properties are obtained by forging. When the magnetic field strength was 1× 105/4marea/m, the relative permeability bias r of the non-magnetic drill collar ≤1.010. The magnetic induction intensity gradient of the non-magnetic drill collar at an arbitrary interval of 100mm along the inner hole is ≤0.05
Non-magnetic drill collars have unusual design requirements, resulting in unique corrosion resistance problems. The drill collar is the bottom part of the drill string. Its weight generates the force on the bit so that the bit can be drilled out, while the stiffness of the drill collar prevents the transfer of force from buckling. Conventional drill collars are made of alloy steel and, like the rest of the drill string, their corrosion usually does not cause any problems, except for their threaded connections. A typical drill collar is 30 feet long and 4 to 9 inches in diameter.

Advantages
