Introduction
The non-magnetic drill collar is made of low-carbon high-chromium manganese alloy steel. It is refined by strict chemical composition, and its mechanical properties are obtained through forging. When the magnetic field strength is 1×105 / 4marea / m, the relative permeability bias of the non-magnetic drill collar r≤1.010. Non-magnetic drill collars have unusual design requirements, thus creating unique corrosion resistance issues. The drill collar is the bottom part of the drill string.
