Introduction
HDD hole opener for horizontal drilling
Horizontal reamer, also called HDD reamer, is used to expand the pilot hole of horizontal directional drilling (HDD)-HDD is used when trenching and digging are impractical. This drilling technique allows drilling underground in a maneuverable, trenchless manner.

Cutting structure
The reamer bit is mainly composed of four or more cones. The main cutting teeth are a new wear-resistant alloy welded by tungsten carbide inserts and steel teeth. The high-quality tungsten carbide teeth with new formula and new technology improve the service life of the reaming drill. The guide is a roller bit or a drawing bit.
Sealing and lubrication
The bearing seal adopts high-performance o-ring seal or metal seal bearing, and imported special lubricating grease for drill bits.

The main structure features
The reamer with replaceable cutters was developed for large-diameter HDD projects, where extending downhole life is essential. Compared with small, conventional types of tools, larger bearings and tools significantly extend downhole life.
There are two types of replaceable milling cutter sets, TCI and grinding teeth, to adapt to the formation of various rocks. All drill bodies have 3-6 cutters and can make 4 holes of different sizes.
All tool bearings are metal sealed. The tool lock is used to prevent the tool from falling off.
Can provide 400-2000mm hole opener.
There are three stages
1. The first step is to drill a small diameter pilot hole.
2. The second step is to use a larger diameter cutting tool HDD Reamer to expand the hole,
Reamer or hole opener.
3. The third stage is to insert the sleeve or other products into the enlarged hole.
